On April 29 and 30, Philadelphia’s beloved Famous 4th Street Cookie Company at Reading Terminal Market will offer $1 Oatmeal Cookies to celebrate National Oatmeal Cookie Day (April 30th) and World Wish Day (April 29th). From 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day, market goers who purchase an Oatmeal Raisin, Oatmeal Orange Cranberry or the exclusive Oatmeal Make-A-Wish Cookie for just $1 will directly support the Make-A-Wish Foundation. 100% of Famous 4th Street Oatmeal Cookie sales will be donated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. 

“Oatmeal cookies are a popular treat and comfort food many of us remember fondly from our childhoods. So, to celebrate National Oatmeal Cookie Day this year, we want to not only share our timeless, thick and chewy oatmeal cookies, but also help to support a local charity doing great things for sick children and their families.” said owner, Tina Phillips. “With the help of the Reading Terminal Market shoppers, we can be a part of providing funds to support the programs of the Make-A-Wish Foundation”.  

Additionally, every hour on the hour between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.  Famous 4th Street Cookie Company will give away one dozen assorted Oatmeal Cookies at random to a customer at the Reading Terminal Market.

Make-A-Wish started with a single wish on April 29, 1980, when 7-year-old Chris Greicius had his wish granted to become a police officer. Chris’ community in Phoenix came together to make his wish come true.
